Rwanda is a landlocked country in East Africa, located in the Great Lakes region of the continent. It is bordered by Uganda to the north, Tanzania to the east, Burundi to the south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. Rwanda is often called the “Land of a Thousand Hills” because of its beautiful rolling landscapes.

Rwanda has a long history shaped by strong community values and traditional leadership. Before colonial times, the country was ruled by a centralized kingdom, guided by a king (Mwami) and supported by cultural traditions and social unity. Colonial rule by Germany and later Belgium influenced the country, but Rwanda maintained a strong sense of identity.
In 1994, Rwanda experienced a tragic genocide against the Tutsi. Since then, the country has made a remarkable recovery, focusing on peace, reconciliation, and development. Today, Rwanda is known worldwide for its stability, good governance, and commitment to unity.
Rwanda is a republic with an elected government and has made strong progress in education, healthcare, technology, and environmental protection. The country places high value on community, equality, and sustainability.
Today, Rwanda attracts visitors from Germany, Europe, and around the world for its wildlife, culture, history, and warm hospitality. It is a country where tradition and modern life exist side by side, offering travelers a meaningful and memorable experience.
